Angela Parenti is an Associate Professor of Political Economy (SECS-P/01) in the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Pisa, where she is part of the Responsible Management Research Center (REMARC) and its “Societal Transition for a Sustainable Economy” group. Her research addresses sustainable economic growth, regional policy, spatial econometrics, non-parametric methods and labour mobility.

Recent work has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Regional Science, Journal of Economic Geography, Ecological Economics and Business Strategy and the Environment. She was the coordinator of the Univeristy of Pisa research unit for the PRIN 2017 project “The Time-Space Evolution of Economic Activities” and she is involved in other initiatives on local-government cooperation and territorial development
