Nicola Salvati is Professor of Statistics at the University of Pisa and Director of the ASESD centre.

His research and consultancy focus on small area estimation, data integration, and robust methods for public policy.

He is a member of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) and the International Association of Survey Statisticians (IASS) and has published in top journals such as  Journal of the Royal Statistical Society (Series B) and Journal of the American Statistical Association.
