The Centre focuses particularly on the study of poverty and inequality, with special attention to territorial disparities in the cost of living, welfare dynamics, and the evaluation of public policies. The Centre aims at empowering communities through statistical innovation, making statistics meet society for building sustainable futures.
Through interdisciplinary initiatives at both national and international levels, the Centre aims to generate new knowledge and create impactful, practical solutions.
We organize scientific events that foster dialogue and collaboration among universities, research centers, institutions, companies, and industries.
In line with its mission to advance equitable and sustainable development, the Centre became a member of the Alleanza Italiana per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (ASviS) in December 2021, further reinforcing its commitment to addressing complex societal challenges through rigorous scientific research.

We strive to bridge the gap between academic research and the production system, aligning with the vision promoted by the Tuscany Region and formalized through the Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education, University, and Research (Resolution No. GRT. 705, 03-08-2012).
